The Classic Point of Sale is an advanced inventory tracking and point of sale program designed to help you effectively manage your retail store's. As you order, receive, and sell merchandise, your inventory quantities and costs are automatically updated and you are building sales history information that you can use to help you better run your store's and serve your customers, while also maximizing profit The Point of Sale software that you purchased contains three separate levels of the program, each with a specific set of features. This allows you to purchase and use only those features that you need, without having to pay for advanced features you won't use. When you made your purchase, you bought a license to one of the three levels. As your business grows and you need the additional features of a higher level, you can simply "unlock" to the next level with a phone call. No reinstalling, waiting for new CDs in the mail, or starting over; upgrading is easy and immediate. Point of Sale allows up to ten networked workstations to run the program simultaneously within a single store. With the Pro Multi-Store level, you can efficiently manage up to ten stores, with centralized purchasing, inventory control, and reporting. In either a multi-workstation or multi-store configuration, each workstation that is concurrently accessing the Point of Sale company data must have a separately purchased user license. Point Of Sale Terminology: Familiarizing yourself with the following terminology before beginning will help you understand the various procedures and Point of Sale features discussed.Point of Sale – The Classic POS 9.2's Point of Sale program. Company Data/Company File – The data file' (s) that you create and work with in Point of Sale and in Classic POS 9.2. In Point of Sale, your file is called company data and stores your point-of-sale information. In Classic POS 9.2, your financial information is called a company file.
